Name meaning
Our name is a simplified version of the French word la LaReg, which means “rule”. It is inspired by the tendency of anglophone Quebecers to make up French words by guessing a likely root word and adding “la” as a pronoun.

Former C-suite utility executive who “grew” up in the utility regulatory departments. One-third of her career has been in management consulting. She served as the CFO of Unitil and the Vice President of Rates and Regulatory & Treasurer of Eversource on the industry side. She served utilities, industrials and investment professionals working on energy transition projects in her prior role at Roland Berger.
Geoffrey Lubbock
CFO, Treasurer
A multinational career with Citibank, Exxon, Cabot and Eversource with 40 years in the energy business including general manager of a Gas Utility Company. 14 years at Eversourece as VP of Strategy, Regulatory, Financial Planning and Environmental. Representative on the NEPOOL Planning Committee (now ISO) for several years. Extensive experience working with regulators to achieve innovative win-win solutions for Customers, Regulators and Companies in Energy Supply Planning, Base Rate Cases and Mergers.

AI Engineer
Electronics engineer with a master’s in data analytics from Northeastern University. Phani Bhavana applies the latest AI and machine learning techniques to the utility regulatory domain.

- We are a Massachusetts start-up company formed on November 1, 2023
- We began offering consulting services in January 2024 and issued our first regulatory survey publication in August 2024
